In addition to teaching in Pre-schools, we at Little Harmonies also conduct workshops in nursing homes. This is in line with our core philosophy that music should be for everyone of all ages.
Our sessions bring the magic of music from iconic artists of the '50s, '60s, and beyond, featuring familiar tunes that spark memories and lift spirits. Residents can sing along, tap their feet, and reminisce about the music that defined their generation.
Residents don’t just listen to music—they actively collaborate to write their own songs, which are then performed by the teacher and everyone involved. These engaging sessions foster creativity, build connections, and bring joy to all.
Music classes stimulate memory, enhance cognitive function, and promote emotional well-being, helping residents feel more engaged, relaxed, and connected to their past.
Through music, residents improve motor skills, reduce stress, and foster social interaction, building a sense of community and combating loneliness.
Regular music sessions provide therapeutic benefits, improve communication, and offer a fulfilling outlet for self-expression, enriching the lives of elderly residents, especially those with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
